I love this time of year like nobody’s business because October is Halloween month, and that means that cam girls can make a total buttload of money on cam, if we know what we’re doing. People love watching cams during the spooky season because cam models will often put on quite a show, and going that extra mile tends to impress tippers, which means more tokens coming our way.
A lot of camgirls are intimidated by the idea of putting on a Halloween-themed show, though, because they don’t think they’re creative enough to make it interesting. Nobody wants to look like a dork by just sitting there with a white sheet with eyeholes over your head. Let me share some things I’ve done in the past to entertain my camming audience, and maybe you can get inspired to try something similar.
One of my favorite things to do for Halloween is to have a scary story contest for my regulars. I’ll decide on some horror topic (vampires, zombies, monster attacks, etc) and tell my fans to write a short story having to do with that theme, and submit them to me for judging. After all the stories are in, I read them while broadcasting (usually on Halloween night, or very close to the 31st) and pick a winner based on my own opinion of them, and the reactions of the room. The winner gets a ton of free content like videos and pic sets, plus I always have a lesser prize for the runner up. This is a TON of fun, you guys. You’d be surprised at how many talented writers are out there in your fan audience, and reading really good horror stories can be so much fun for Halloween. I usually dim the lights, put some simple witch costume on, and read the stories in a Transylvanian accent. LMAO.
If you don’t have a lot of content already produced, you can offer alternatives like free 20 minute Skype shows, or free access to your premium Snapchat as the grand prize. There are lots of different things you can give away, actually. The idea of holding a contest is the key thing you need to take away from this. Contests engage your audience and bring them in, so they’re actively participating in the activity you’ve got going in your room. Viewers totally love contests, and they usually make them more likely to support you as a cam model by tipping more.
Another thing you can do, especially if you’re on a budget and can’t afford lots of costumes or decorations, is to play a practical joke on your room. You basically just broadcast as you normally would, then mention that you heard something coming from another room, or you heard someone calling your name faintly, but you’re home alone. The idea is to convince your viewers that you’re really spooked about something going on in your house. Noises are really great for this, but you can also use your cellphone for this. Just have a friend call you while you’re on cam at a certain agreed-to time (or send them a quick text off-cam when you’re ready), and pretend it’s a ghost call. You should react like “Helloooo. Who is this? How did you get my number?”
You can tell your room that the caller was completely silent, but you could hear slight breathing sounds. Act like you’re really spooked by the call. After 10 minutes pass, your friend should call again. LOL. You can imagine what you can do with this, and it can be a lot of fun. I did it once and it created a super creepy vibe in my room that drew a lot of viewers. It was hilarious when, at the end of the session, I revealed that it was all a practical joke. People were like, “Ohhhh, you deceiving bitchhhh!!” HAHAHAAA!
So yeah, it definitely doesn’t take much for a cam girl to put on a cool Halloween show, just try to be creative and use simple ideas to entertain your room. Don’t overthink it, just stick to basic stuff like ghost stories and practical jokes — that’s always more than enough to really freak people out. LOL.
The most important thing is to have fun, though, because Halloween comes but once a year! But might as well make it pay, am I right??
